Publication: An Ornamental Way of Moving

This publication centers around a filmed rehearsal for the performance, An Ornamental Way of Moving, which emerged out of Leonor Serrano Rivas’s research about the supporting components of classical theatre: the chorus and the scenery. Within this framework she produced two new works entitled, Decorative Elements and Recurrent Patterns, which are shown in this book as photographic inserts. These added elements are also understood as characters performing within a given set. In this way, the publication aims to reinforce, through its structure, Serrano Rivas’ ideas around chorus and scenery that unifies the works into a common body —a cluster that Works together and moves according to a script.
